I am Andy. I live in the beautiful county of Worcestershire, just off the scenic M5.
I have always loved writing and cooking. Amazingly it only recently occurred to me to combine the two. I'm not quite sure where my interest in food came from, certainly not my family, who would no sooner eat a chicken thigh than they would an eyeball.
My style is pretty informal. I don't do frilly or fancy food; the idea of garnish is beyond me and my modest means dictate that my recipes rarely use expensive or high end ingredients. I'm a big flavours person and and more of a throw-it-all-together-and-see-what-happens kind of cook rather than a follow-the-recipe kind.
I originally intended this to be a British food blog (hence the title) as I firmly believe that, when done well, British food is among the best in the world. However, I soon realised that I am just as passionate about food from all over the world, so have extended the borders somewhat.
